What Raptor Care Costs
- An injured eagle eats $10 worth of rats every day.
- Perching material for one cage costs $25.
- X-rays can run up to $100.
- Surgery to repair one fracture costs $250.
- It takes $1,000 to provide lifesaving care for one year, including surgery and follow-up x-rays, antibiotics, and food for one injured Eagle or Hawk.
As an adoptive “parent,” you supply food, housing and medical care, helping releasable raptors touch freedom again, and giving our Education Ambassadors an excellent quality of life.Adoptions also make great gifts!
Give a gift to the raptors, and get money back!! The RMRP is an Enterprise Zone project – this means that 25% of your gift to RMRP will be returned to you by the State of Colorado as a tax credit. Your gift is also eligible for Federal and State Tax Deductions – this means that you can get more than 40% of your gift returned to you. For more information, click here.
