Feature your business or special day in RMRP’s 2011 Calendar.
We have received nearly 100 photos during our 2011 calendar photo contest. This stunning assortment will result in a spectacularly beautiful calendar.
The finished calendar will be 8.5" x 11" (landscape). It will include one large photo per month as well as smaller photos in the calendar grid. Businesses can sponsor a month and their business name and logo will be printed on their month. Day sponsorships are also available to promote your business, important event or special date. Dozens of spots are currently available.
Month Sponsor: Your business logo (1”x1.5”), phone and website will be featured on your month. In addition, you will receive one regular size (2.5” x 1.75”) ad in an upcoming newsletter, and 12 days of your logo, phone number and website on the Raptor Program’s website (www.rmrp.org). Cost is $360.
Day Sponsor: You have an opportunity to "reserve your day" on the calendar. You can pick a special day (or days) of the year to recognize a special event, a birthday, anniversary, business event, or just about anything. You can have a message of up to 40 characters. Text only is $25. Adding a logo makes it $50 per day. If you select 5 days, you’ll receive a 10% discount, and for 12 days, you will receive a 25% discount.
Photographer information will be included, as well as details about the subject. 2,000 calendars will be printed and sold by RMRP to raise funds for its lifesaving work. The photos will feature raptors that occur naturally in Colorado, and RMRP's Education Ambassadors.

RMRP admitted fifty raptors in June, 2010, and 43 in July. More than 110 since June 1. This is "down raptor" season, where many injured raptors are found on the ground... a Great Horned Owl with head and spinal trauma, an American Kestrel that suffered a fractured wing during a cat attack, an Osprey caught in bailing twine, a Red-tailed Hawk with West Nile Virus.
As our phone is ringing off the wall, we really need your help to get them back to the wild.

The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program is offering behind-the-scenes tours to those who have an interest in our lifesaving and life-changing work. You will see first hand what it takes to help these amazing creatures heal and prepare for release. Take a walk through our treatment room, see the food prep room (only if you want to), see our "pantry" (live mice and rat cages), and visit with some of our Education Ambassadors, raptors that are non-releasable due to their injury. These tours are designed for an adult audience.
Tours last about 90 minutes and are limited to the first 20 who RSVP. Please send an email to info@rmrp.org and indicate your preferred date, your contact information, and how many will be in your party. There is no charge to attend, however an RSVP is required. Call 970-484-7756.
Upcoming dates and times: Friday, September 10, 4 pm Saturday, September 18, 9 am FULL Friday, October 1, 4 pm Saturday, October 16, 9 am Friday, November 5, 4 pm Saturday, November 20, 9 am Friday, December 3, 4 pm |

Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program!
RMRP rescues, rehabilitates and releases injured birds of prey, including Eagles, Owls, Hawks and Falcons; and through its comprehensive Environmental Education program, teaches the importance of preserving wildlife and wild places for future generations.
The Raptor Program works closely with the veterinarians at Colorado State University’s Veterinary Medical Center, and has consulted with them on nearly 5,000 raptor cases since the program started as a student club in 1979.
RMRP averages about one admission and several injured raptor calls each day, and more than 70% of treatable raptors are released for A Second Chance At Freedom. Several days each week we provide education programs somewhere in the region.
As a nonprofit organization, we can only exist with the generosity of people who believe in our cause.

Summer is our busiest time of year. You can help us rescue, rehabilitate and release injured, sick or orphaned raptors by adopting one or more. As an adoptive “parent,” your gift helps supply skilled medical care, nutritious food, and a healing environment to give these majestic creatures A Second Chance At Freedom. Adoption starts as low as $50 and truly saves lives.
Help more raptors like this one to touch the skies again!

All bird lovers will enjoy the Birds of Prey class presented by the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program.
The class is held on the first three Saturdays of November. RMRP Executive Director Judy Scherpelz has taught the class for 20 years. “I present the class with explanations to match all interest levels,” Scherpelz said. “The more you know about birds and their environment, the more enjoyment you will get from watching them in their natural surroundings.”
