“We are not simply caring for raptors, or educating children and families, or even creating a new wildlife center. Our legacy together will be that we are changing the world, one child, one family, and one raptor at a time!” Bob is a lifelong raptor lover and began supporting RMRP in the late 1990’s and volunteering in 2004. Before joining the RMRP family in July of 2005, Bob had thirty years of experience in the nonprofit sector, dedicating his career to mental health, children's issues, community development, fundraising and consulting. Bob began his career as a counselor and later a manager of abused children. He later gave guidance to children with severe and life-threatening asthma. Bob served as the Executive Director for the Washington Park Community Center in Denver for 5 years. For thirteen years, Bob held leadership roles at the North Colorado Medical Center Foundation and gained a diverse background in special events, donor relations, grant writing, campaign management, workplace giving, annual giving and many other aspects of development. As the Director of Major Gifts, he prepared the institution for a $26 million campaign. He served as the founding Executive Director of the award-winning Monfort Children’s Clinic, a medical care facility for medically indigent children. Over time Bob has demonstrated his leadership capacities as a staff member and on the board of directors for many other organizations. Bob is also recognized as a Certified Fund Raising Executive, the only internationally recognized professional credential for fundraising executives. Bob continually supports those that may not be able to speak for themselves and joining the RMRP is no different. The majestic birds that are cared for by the RMRP blends his passion for these winged creatures and his love of people and creating opportunities for willing donors to support this most worthy cause. Bob is excited to help create RMRP’s planned wildlife center and living museum. He’s been married since 1982 to Rose and has three children, Shaun, Cara and Jenna.
