“When I walk into the RMRP, I am at home. When I am with the volunteers, I am with family. When I see a bird fly free once more, I am fulfilled.” Lynsey joined the Raptor Program in August of 2004 as a volunteer and became a part-time employee in May of 2005. She has developed advanced raptor medicine skills and shares on-call emergency phone duties tending to critically injured birds that are rescued by RMRP. Lynsey is truly a “Jack-Of-All-Trades.” She is often the friendly voice answering the phone, manages RMRP's database, helps with fundraising activities and mailings, sends thank you letters and orders merchandise. On the bird side, she is the Friday night Treatment Coordinator, is a Special Handler for an Educational Red-tailed Hawk and Turkey Vulture, organizes bird rescues, and manages volunteers. She is a Booth Coordinating during the long summer weekend days, and serves as an E1 Mentor, PE Trainer and Evaluator, and an M1 trainer.
