Jordan grew up in Rapid City, SD, where the Black Hills sparked her early love for nature and wildlife. Hiking and camping the Hills she got to call home, she developed a deep appreciation for the natural scenes and wildlife of the area.
Her passion for raptors took flight during a seasonal role at a local zoo, where she worked as an avian caretaker and trainer. There, she discovered not only a passion for birds of prey, but also a calling to support their conservation.
Jordan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Augustana University in 2024. She then went on to complete several wildlife conservation and rehabilitation internships, building hands-on experience with a variety of native species. Most recently, she completed a year-long raptor rehabilitation internship at the Teton Raptor Center in Wilson, WY, where she gained immersive experience in every stage of the rehabilitation process — from intake and medical care to conditioning and release.
Now, Jordan is thrilled to bring her experience and deep-rooted passion for birds of prey to RMRP as a Rehabilitation and Research Associate.
