The RMRP rehabilitation facility at 720 E. Vine Drive is not open to the public on a regular basis. We do offer tours scheduled in advance and host open house days three times/year.  The birds you will see when visiting our facility or at any of our events are our permanently disabled ambassadors. We are not able to allow you to view any of our patients under rehabilitation. When visiting our facility, in order to maintain strong bio-security, you may have to step through some disinfecting foot baths or put on shoes covers.

Private Behind the Scenes Tours:weighing merlin

Private Behind the Scenes Tours explore the main rehabilitation facility on Vine Drive, including various work areas. Visitors will learn about rehabilitation management of cases and how the RMRP trains and coordinates volunteers and staff to provide care for the birds 365 days/year. Injuries, therapies, and issues involved in caring for raptors are also discussed. The tour may include an opportunity to meet one or more educational raptors.

Tours are part inside, part outside, so please dress for the weather. All guests will be walking through disinfecting foot baths (to protect the raptors from possible contagions), so please wear shoes you can get wet. The parts of the hospital that are available to tour may change daily based upon current caseload, weather, and biosecurity concerns. Tours last from one to one and a half hours and involve walking and standing on gravel surfaces and uneven ground.

These tours are designed for your particular group's interests and ages and are scheduled for your convenience. Please allow at least 2 weeks to schedule. *Fee: $10 per person with a minimum of $50.* Maximum size group is 10. Call (970) 484-7756 or email: to schedule a tour. All fees support the mission of the RMRP.  Groups with more than 10 people are encouraged to contact Jessica Miller, Education Associate: to schedule a presentation.
