The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program facility is not open to the public on a regular basis as it is our raptor hospital. If you are interested in seeing what the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program does from the inside, we offer Behind the Scenes Tours and Open Houses.

Tours may include a visit from some of our ambassador raptors, but we do not allow public viewing of any of our patients under rehabilitation. Visitors will be walking and standing on concrete floors and gravel or other uneven surfaces. Closed toed, easy to walk in shoes are recommended.  Tours are only partially wheelchair accessible; they are part inside, part outside, so please dress for the weather.

Private Behind the Scenes Tours:

7/1/22 – Small group Behind-the-Scene tours have restarted.  We are asking guests to wear masks while in the building for the safety of our staff.

You will be offered the opportunity to explore the main rehabilitation facility with your docent, including various work areas.  Parts of the hospital may not be available for tour and may change daily based upon current caseload, weather, and bio-security concerns.

Visitors will learn about rehabilitation management of cases and how the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program trains and coordinates volunteers and staff to provide care for the raptors 365 days/year. Injuries, therapies, and issues involved in caring for raptors are also discussed.  These tours are designed for your particular group’s interests and ages and are scheduled for your convenience.
