Rocky Mountain Raptor Program will be coming to High Plains Environmental Center to share the inspiring work we do with injured wildlife. We will bring along a few Educational Ambassadors. Some raptors you could see include an American Kestrel, American Goshawk, Bald Eagle, Eastern Screech Owl, Red-Tailed Hawk, Golden Eagle, Swainson’s Hawk, and more! You’ll have to attend to find out!
Please bring a blanket or chair to sit on the lawn.
Photography allowed, videography is not.
Please consider donating what you can! It costs RMRP $200 to do these programs. We like to make sure they have their expenses covered and then some, if possible!
About: Open Streets
2025 marks the 10th year for Open Streets events in Fort Collins, where participants can expect 1-2 miles of car-free, family-friendly streets. Participants can move freely and safely throughout the route, while enjoying live music, food trucks, and fun activities along the way. Open Streets events aim to show participants that travelling by bike, foot, scooter, and other active, car-free transportation modes can be comfortable, easy, and a healthy alternative to driving. Each vendor booth is unique: they could include live music, local food trucks, health- and wellness-inspired activities, and participant-made art! The possibilities are endless at Open Streets.
Goals of Open Streets:
- Highlight walkable and bikeable routes by creating temporary, car-free streets for the community to walk, roll, and bike along.
- Encourage future active transportation among participants along Open Streets routes after the event concludes.
- Feature local businesses and organizations that support active transportation, health, wellness, and community well-being. Create opportunities to connect participants with these organizations.
- Foster social capital by connecting neighbors with one another during the event and beyond.
