Kira was born and raised in Northern Colorado, fostering an interest in science and natural resources since childhood. Kira graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s in Geography and Science Communication. Kira began her career in communications at the College of Natural Sciences and the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering at CSU.

After spending time working in local government, Kira started in the nonprofit space in 2025 and transitioned to RMRP in January of 2026. She is excited to work for a cause she is passionate about, and share the beauty of raptors and importance of conservation with the community she grew up in.

In her free time, Kira enjoys quilting, playing video games with her family, crafting, reading, and collecting antique cookbooks.
