The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program is honored to participate in the first annual Nature St. Vrain. An Environmental Education Open House, celebrating the contributions of K-12 students to citizen science projects and a presentation by special guest, Colorado’s own John Fielder. Live raptors will be on display.
The RMRP will join the Poudre River Trail-A-Thon to help inspire your desire to care for our natural world in our backyard. In addition to having educational raptors on display,_- the Trail-A-Thon offers:
- Fun Run
- Bike the Poudre
- Nature Walk
- Climbing Wall
- Chalk Art
- Peek & seek Scavenger Hunt
- Mountain Bike Course
- Bird Watching
- Fishing Fun
The RMRP spring Open House is a fabulous time to meet some live permanently disabled educational raptors. Young and old alike can learn about how we rehabilitate injured birds, do some shopping in our gift shop, and find great photo opportunities.
This event will also feature guest author and naturalist Sue Ring deRosset. She will be selling her small nonfiction book "The Vulture Trees". Proceeds will benefit the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program.
Meet some of the Rocky Mountain Raptor Programs Educational Ambassadors and learn about the mission of the RMRP.
